GJTT Schools Coordinator

Interested in becoming more involved with GJTT? 

We are looking for a new GJTT Schools Coordinator to help promote GJTT in local schools and to organize school teams in our local GJTT leagues.  This person will work closely with the GJTT Area  and Flight Coordinators, along with the SC Junior Team Tennis Committee and USTA SC office.   
 

Responsibilities:
  • Presents school info at league informational meeting at the beginning of each season
  • Distributes GJTT league info to all targeted school families
  • Recruits targeted school captains &/or coaches to lead teams
  • Organize teams, lessons & courts for play if required
  • Connects school captains &/or coaches with appropriate GJTT flight coordinator
  • Organizes off-season high school league (boys in fall and girls in spring).  Serves as high school flight coordinator.
  • Acts as liaison between GJTT league Board & school administration, identifying how to best partner with each other

Qualifications:
  • Organized, self-starter who enjoys promoting GJTT
  • Parent, teacher, or staff person affiliated with a public, private or charter school in the Greenville area
  • Submit to a background check & complete USTA online safety training program

Time:        
  • Estimated 10-15 hrs./week varies according to need  (0-5 hours / week during off-season, 5-10 hours / week during fall and spring season, 10-15 hours / week for several weeks during spring and fall registration)
