Registration Process
Creating a Master Team for Registration
- Several area clubs are choosing to create a master team number for GJTT registration. This approach allows you to build a pool of interested kids and then divide them into teams based on age and skill level. The upside of this approach is that you can simplify the registration process and get the kids and parents committed earlier. The potential downside is the puzzle of figuring out how to group your juniors into teams and assign captains.
- If you would like to create a master team registration number for your club, Please send an email to coordinator@greenvillejtt.com. You'll need to assign one point of contact for your club that has completed USTA Safe Play (background check and safety training).
- We recommend that you close your club registration prior to the official close of GJTT registration. That will give you time to organize your kids into teams and confirm captains. Every GJTT team will need to have a certified USTA SafePlay captain to start the season.

- How many matches should players expect to play in? Are they expected to attend all matches?
- What are your expectations of parents? Do you need volunteers for parent captains?
- What role will your club staff play? Role of club pros?
The answers to these questions will vary from club to club and there are no "right" answers. The important step is to clearly define how GJTT will operate in your club before registration so that the season runs smoothly!
